Rear shelf removal is simple. Remove the rear bench seat by pulling up on it really hard. Remove the backrest by unscrewing 4 nuts (2 on the sides near the doors, 2 inside the arm rest) and pulling strait up. The shelf is held in place by a number of plastic push in thingys beind the backrest. After those are removed the shelf can be pulled strait out. I found noises were reduced by making sure all the clipping points of the rear shelf were attached correctly. A small rag to buffer sounds underneeth the shelf, especially near the center light, helps too. Installation is reverse of removal
