could be gaskets or a hose leak. Easiest check is to get a spray can of carb cleaner and with the engine running spray it around the base of the manifold where you hear the leak. If the rpm changes briefly you have a leak.

I actually got the car off the SO long enough today to
raise the hood, and while listening for the water pump or
fan noise I detected a hiss. Seems to be loudest around
the base of the inlet manifold somewhere, this is when
listening from above.
Any ideas ?? Is this normal and it's just been so long
since I heard the car ??
