Well Eric claims they kick ass. He never gets specific about which/what ass. We all just thought poodles were sorta fru fru, ya know? These are serious dogs though (Eric call them standard poodles)

Meself, I got a dog that licks butt and a cat that kicks butt.

The ///Miata (I just gotta get the /// stripes on it to piss off the badge police!) has a Hard Dog roll bar, redone exhaust and cold air intake. The suspension has been redone with AGX 8 way adjustables, stiffer springs. A higher rate sway bar (front/back) are on their way. A supercharger may grace it one day soon. Lots of tweaks that can be done to a Miata. It has a great power to weight ratio and the balance and handling is spot on. Funny thing about the Miata, even though it has less power, I've never really felt I needed more. Can't really say that about the E28 or E34. As to the Miata's practicality - forget it. Can't bring back much more than a box of screws from Home Depot!

I think the E28 (535i) would have autocrossed better than the E34 (540i). The e28 just felt more nimble and responsive. I really like the E34, but it seems that as the E number gets larger, the cars seem to get just a little more disconnected or insulated from the road.

Don't autocross the 5er, the Miata is reserved for that.

My dad used to campaign a 60 MGA twin cam. Fun car, but the mechanicals on it were downright scary.

Kick my ass? Probably. Kick my dogís ass? Doubt it, Mia the Akita was one of the reasons i got the Hundshleppen (yeah the car predates dog by 5 months, thereís that planning again). She was rescued off of the southside Chicago streets. Kick my catís ass? No way Jose.

BTW we know ya AutoX the ///Miata how bout yer 5er?
Also, any mods to the vertible? I had to sell my dads Sebring recently, but the final drive in it reminded me of how much i love going topless. Used to own a 72 MGB. Test drove a Miata back when i bought the SE-R. The Mazda felt a touch underpowered for my tastes, but maybe w/ a few tweaks.
