Hard to believe 100K miles on the shocks. Wow! Never seen anyone get that. Never seen anyone worry, cause they just sent them back for a rebuild. Problem with shocks is that they change so gradually (sort of like running shoes).

I would also suspect that the durability is also a function of hard hard they get used.
