replacing the aux fan with a fan from pepboys.
i think the fan cost something like $30. he just
removed the old one with the old support brackets
and added the new one in place with the wire ties
that are design to go though the radiator. one side benifit is that if your low speed resistor
is blown it doesn't matter because these fans are
one speed only.

Of course you need to determine if you aux fan is
the problem or if it is something upstream.

DC motors have come a long way in ten years - don't spend more money to buy old technology.
