As for the bulb, sometimes bulbs with non-copper bases don't have the proper resistance for the bulb-out warning system on these cars. When you go to the dealer to order your filter, get a couple bulbs as well. ;)
When changing your oil how important is it to use a filter form the dealer, would one from car quest auto parts be ok, they are made by wix. I have always used the genuine BMW filters in my car, but is it bad for the car to use a wix filter?
Also, would using a 1157 bulb in the front parking light cause the "parking light" warning to go off on the OBC, b/c the bulbs work, but i get the warning ever tiem i turn the lights on.
