have any of you tried or have thought have cutting of the stock muffler, and welding on an aftermarket universal dual inlet / dual outlet muffler?

just wondering, if there were any experience out there or thoughts on this.

the only one i found so far is a dual inlet / dual outlet muffler made by magnaflow.

also, just wondering, cuz i want something that sounds better than stock, but i'm not sure if i want to fork out all this money right now for a full catback system.
