probably know a large number of spin on filters for ford, chevy, toyota etc have a check valve built into them. Remoter filter adapters are available cheap. I was wondering whether the stock housing could be remachined easily or a adapter plate made easily to allow the use of these spin ons instead? The idea being you get a new check valve every time you change the oil.
