Sorry about the incorrect post and I did know that you car was a 540i. What the hell are you doing up at 3:30 in the morning reading my post?

After I posted my story, I read some of the follow up posts to your original post. I believe that they were not fair since none of those indiviuals were there. There was never a time when speeds were excessive in traffic and as you have agreed in your other posts, the shoulder pass was not the brightest move. I do not wan't people to think that this was some crazy race. The speeds were no different than what I see on many highways in other states. Last year I drove from Naples, FL to West Palm Beach. I was driving 90MPH and was passed by half of the cars on the road. I even saw a grandmother who looked like she was 80 doing 95 mph. Yes these speeds are illegal, but on certain highways they are the norm. It is the same situation in Chicago. After 9:00 PM most of the people on the Edens highway are averaging 75MPH plus and I would not lable them maniacs.

Speaking of M3s, I have one coming in a week. If anyone wants it, I will be happy to sell it. I ordered it two years ago but bought the M5 while I was waiting. It is black with tan.

Drive safely.

Silver M5
(wow was that a nasty picture from the Ferrari accident, I almost passed out)

I'm only 18 so you did have the experience advantage as well and racing experience, but hey I'm getting experience too now. Just went to a driving school, got to drive a 600hp Indy car, that was a new experience to say the least. By the way, how does your car ride on the super rough roads Illinois calls highways?
