RK II's 17x9 on 540I (archive)

I have a 1995 540I/6 speed. Currently have 17x8.5 RK's. I want to change the rear tires to 17x9 RKII's. Im told I can do this if I use Hubcentric rings from the tire rack #A670. Is this so? Please advise.
