just to let you know, i go to a shop in chicago (suburb actually) and they checked out the car entirely for over an hour for $87.50 and proceeded to see what the car needed, not necessarily what BMW says it needs. For instance, spark plugs were recently replaced, so no need. The dealer WOULD charge for that.

i know most people say you have to have each item in the inspection performed, but I have heard many say that's not true. Just maintain the car in good working order. No need to replace a spark plug that is working fine.
