Thanks Mark,

Glad they are taking good care of you. I bet you loose that hire car in a car park. We had a white Nissan for a few weeks and lost it for an hour or so. You don't realise how many small white cars there out there that all look the same until you try and find one.

Hope you get your car back soon.

My 1993 525i went into the panelbeaters today following my prang last weekend.

The guy from Alliance Insurance (BMW Insurance) called just now to say that repairs are authorised and I don't have to pay an excess and I don't lose my no claim bonus. They will also pay hire car fees up to $80/day up to two weeks.

So no hassles with the insurance claim (it wasn't my fault)and it's now up to the panelbeaters but I don't know how long it will take yet. Hopefully no longer than two weeks.

I picked up my hire car this morning a 2001 Nissan Pulsar ST 1.8 Sedan. Plain white and auto. Now I know why I drive a E34 and not a buzzbox. I'll just have to keep away from places people might recognise me.

I will post my accident photos soon in my yahoo photo album.
