motor and change it. m20s should be fairly common.

I hope this is the right forum. I have found the e30 forum very useful, but now I need some help.

My brother overheated his 90 525i. The mechanic took off the heads and the pistons are smoked. 1 and 2 have holes in them from the intensive heat.

I have rebuilt a number of engines including 2 318i engines.
What is the most cost evective way to fix this engine that will balances out with the amount of time I have to put into fixing it.

Put yourself in my shoes. You want to help out your brother who hasn't much money, but you don't want to spend the next 6 months of weekends doing it.

Thanks
Rob Bennett
