Hi,

I agree with Bill in that a swap is the best way to go. While there are many sources, do check them out before you select as some are probaly not as good as others.

If the engine overheated to the extent you describe, you could be in for a new head and perhaps a cracked block. The risk of having the crank saddles out of line is also there.

The problem of course is trying to estimate the cost of a repair to a swap. The former can be real open ended unless you are willing to do a tear down and an inspection first. Perhaps that's an option if it doesn't take too much time (you'll have to pull the engine out anyway).

Good luck,
Adnan
