When you mentioned holes,I take it that you mean the front seats headrests?At the sides of the seat back,where the arm rests are,but further up at shoulder level,is where the 'buttons' reside.You need to feel for the buttons as they are concealed under the covers for aesthetices purposes.Move your fingers around that area and you will feel the button.Press it inwards and pull the headrest.

I have a 1992 535i and I just bought some NICE sheep skin sheet covers! There are holes where you put the headrests on the cover. I just need to take it off then back on! It says on the package that there is a button to take it off! WHERE HOW!??!?!
