Warning comes when the circuit is opened. The "sensor" is basically a small loop of wire. When it makes contact with the rotor, it is worn down until the circuit opens. When open, you get the warning. Similar to when a headlight burns out. Open circuit yields warning light. Has nothing to do with ground.


Warning comes on when wire from "sensor is grounded to rotor...check to see if wires going to sensor are grounded anywhere.
