The Bently/Haynes manual always recommend that the battery is disconnected prior to doing any job,but I never did.I find it troublesome to preset my radio stations all over again.
It's all about precautions.Your choice.

Is it really necessary? Ive got to remove the radiator, waterpump and thermostat. TIA for all comments.
