Recently when I purchased my '95 540i I selected an automatic over another the dealer had that was a manual... (still kicking myself). Anyway, I like the speed and torque, but that only happens when you get the rpms up. Off the line, the car is not quick. I've heard of chips etc... What suggestions do you have on purchases and driving tips (short of neutral drops) that would make this car quicker off the line?
