The chip has NOTHING to do with the radio lock code, you are simply entering it wrong. If you enter it more than 3 times incorrectly, it will lock you out and you have to leave the key in the ignition for about 3-4 to let the radio timer reset itself.

I recently upgraded suspension on my '93 525i(A). Battery went dead during upgrade (left key on overnight). Recharged batter but did not re-set radio code. THEN I "sharked" the car. Now I cannot get the radio to accept the anti-theft code. I have used it successfully before.

Did the "sharking" change the code? Any fix without going back to factory chip?
