I can't help with the alarm except to say I had bad luck with the AutoLoc alarm. They'll tell you it takes about an hour to install, but it really takes about eight. They'll tell you to connect their siren to the factory-installed horn thing buried in the firewall. But, most E34's don't have the horn there (only the first couple years did) and AutoLoc couldn't tell me what to do other than to run a wire from under the back seat where the alarm module is all the way up to the engine bay. Oh, and it wouldn't calibrate properly for the bump sensitivity and it wouldn't auto arm. Let's see, what else.....

Save your money and a lot of time. Have a pro install a Viper or Clifford or something.

But, you can do your own keyless if you want.
