So the other day i noticed i had some serious clunking going on up front. It is consistent and annoying, not to mention very riscky sounding to drive on. So this morning i jacked up my car and took a peek. Looks like the lower control arm end is bad. Can this be replaced without replacing hte whole arm. It looks to be a ball joint of some sort. I am more the engine man so im almost clueless on suspension and steering components. Another thing that seams to be bad is the idler arm(which i belive is the one on the passenger side, because the other one is acutally the one that stears the car) My main problem is im having trouble figuring out what i should replace. My other bushing(uper and lower) seam good no movement at all and it all seams tight. Except for the passengers side lower control arm end. What is that end, and can it be replaced independently of the arm, and if so how hard is that?
