When the car sits in the garage there's a weak but clear
smell of fuel. It seems to grow stronger with time. I have
sniffed the whole car and it seems the source is somewhere
near the right rear wheel. There's no smell in the trunk or the passenger cabin. There's no smell from the filler cap. Under the right rear of the car and inside the wheel well there's faint fresh smell. I do know the expansion tank and some fuel lines are sitting there. Shouldn't the fumes be vented through the charcoal canister upfront? I have also seen a small hose coming down behind the right rear wheel, but don't know what it is.
Did anyone else have the same propblem? What could be the source of the smell? How do I fix it?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
