Changing the guibo and center bearing is a three hour job tops (depends on how nasty dropping the exhaust will be - rusty nuts and all that).

New guibo is about $60 and the center bearing about $120 IIRC (dealer prices).

Don

Clutch is my call really. It is probably okay.....and I most likely will not do it b/c the necessary repairs are too much already (flex disc, drive-shaft w/ center bearing ~$1,000 incl. labor). I am tired of that rattling I keep hearing in the transmission (it is the throw out bearing) and I wouldn't mind a new clutch (I think the current one feels a little stiff). This car has not seen hard driving until I bought it on 4/30/01. All of the 12 year old parts are getting tested with me behind the wheel (engine breaking, harder cornering, faster acceleration, downshifting, etc.) I was thinking as long as the guys had half of the driveline assy out, I might as well have them replace some other stuff....but it will probably turn out to be too expensive and I will probably only have them change out the necessary parts.
