On real m5 wheels, both the throwing stars AND the turbines are just covers to a thin 5 spoke wheel. You might have real BMW throwing stars wheels; but if the stars are cast into the wheel, they are not the real M5 wheel. The throwing stars are a popular style (everyone trying to look like an M5) that they made a throwing star design that looks like the M5 wheel but is not the real M5 wheel.

Just good looking posers. IIRC, the real M5 wheels are magnesium not aluminum.

Don

So is there a difference, are the turbines a little beefier and throwing star thinner spokes or are they the same, because I was looking at what looked to be some turbine or TSs on an 850csi yesterday, they're definitley different than mine.
