Thanks to all who posted on Saturday night... I was in the middle of a campground in Tobermorry Ontario and using the owner's son's computer. I thought also that it was the fusible link and unfortunately was 200 miles from a dealer... we got home alright (missed two days of rain...and with no wipers that was a good thing). When I got back I found the fusible link...it was on a red lead coming out of the battery under the seat...but had been shrink sealed and looked like nothing resembling a fuse. Cut the shrink off and there was a little strip of nonconductive stuff with a broken piece of metal riveted to it. Broke the rest of it off and bolted a new one on...total cost $2.00 Canadian...(almost nothing U.S.). Pretty frustrating 6 hours driving however with the windows locked up and no radio, wipers, etc. (this with three teenage girls and a dog travelling with me). Anyway, thanks again all for the help..can't tell you how neat it was to see all your names on a screen in the middle of the Canadian wilderness (well, sort of wilderness).
