I put on an Eberspaecher resonator & muffler this spring. It's all nuts & bolts except I welded the socket fittings where the resonator pipes enter the muffler. It's designed to be clamped but I prefer a weld (since I have a MIG welder). Fit & quality are excellent & hard to tell from the OEM Boysen that was on the car since new. How much for both units from Ansa cost? Here's a link for a DIY which should be very similar for an e34, which you can do on ramps or jackstands. A fairly simple job. Suggestion: replace the O2 sensor even if it's not time yet, that will save having to go under there for a long time.
