The roads are really rough but if you get used to them and learn where exactly are potholes etc. it's alright. When I return to suburbs I feel blessed like in heaven... I would alos mention traffic jams - esp. FDR is always slow bumper to bumper. As to parking you will have to buy a space in garage ranging about $200 a month. Otherwise you ll have to hunt for parking space on the street, depending on the area it may take upto 40 min. Taxy cab drivers are real a###oles!!! They cut you off all the time untill you get a heart attack and pull over to vent! But this thing is also one of those you get used to eventually and start driving the way they do. THe good thing about living in the city is you dont have to use your that much. Transportation is very good. As for me I prefer suburbs.
