I have a 1992 525i with 101,000 miles, and the battery is mysteriously dying on me. The only aftermarket component that I have is a Blaupunkt 10 disk CD changer, and it has never caused any problems before. I can't even figure out how to access the battery compartment under my seat. Before the battery went dead, my license plate light indicator was on, and a fog light was out. I just want to know opinions on whether I need a new battery, or if there could possibly be something on in the car that is draining it. Appreciate it drivers.

You did not mention how old the battery was. If it is original, you're lucky it has last this long. BMW batterys last about 5 yrs. To access the battery just grab the rear seat cushion and pull up. Check the output of the alternator, it should be around 13-14 volts with the engine running at idle. If below 12 volts, the bushes on the alternator has worn out and is not charging the battery. You'll need to have it rebuilt or replace with a remanufacture unit
