I was involved in a vehicle accident in my e34 last night and totalled my car. A hit and run driver hit a car in front of me and then stopped in the center lane. I tried to go around but had no time and caught my front end on thier rear. Foruntely for me the seat belt did it's job and the air bag deployed. Other than burn on the inside of my right arm from the airbag, a bump on my head from hitting the roof (I am 6'4"), and a little soreness in my back and neck I walked away. The occupants of the Ford sedan I hit were ok but chose to go to the hospital.

I will post pics when I get them.

A word of advice if you ever are involved in an accident and your car is still drivable please pull off the road.

89' 535i 179k RIP

Glad to hear you are okay. I too was involved in a total loss with my 93 525i. I was T-Boned on the drivers side by a pick up truck this past February. I was fine, but my BMW was demolished. The cop told my wife when she came to pick me up that it was lucky that I was in a Bimmer. (Bought a 94 525i the next week right after the insurance check came).
