Sorry Dave, I made a small error. You have actually reminded me that I have got an MB-100 not the MB-75. The MB-100 is the high end version of the MB-75. It does not have any amplifiers built in but it does have a much higher spec DAC (Digital to Analog Converter). As the names suggests the DAC is responsible for converting the digital signals from the CD into and analog output that we can listen to. By the sounds of it it seems like the MB-75 is the model for you to go for as everything is pretty much in the one box. I say pretty much because on the back of the MB-75 it has a small amplifier attached which luckily is removable because I think you will have to remove it for it to fit into the dash area. I don't think that there is enough depth with it installed in place. Shouldn't be a major job. You will not regret it.



want a stereo that looks and sounds good while keeping with the tone of the car. Do you think i need extra amps, etc? i was just going to install it as is. Are there two pieces? You mentioned the DAC, what's that (I am no car stereo genius, believe me)
