Rob if there I'm sure it's your rear strut mounts (archive)

I read in European Car magazine some time ago that a better replacement would be the E30 or E36 convertible strut mounts. They are stronger due to the weaker frame structure of the convertible. I'm pretty sure that's your fix. Let me know... Good Luck with the gremlins!!!
