I use the sheepskin wash mit. The big thing when washing is rinsing the mitt out in the wash water. The soap is for keeping the dirt particles suspended. If you don't rinse the mitt often, like at least for every panel. You will just be turning your wash mitt into fine sandpaper. NOW for the scratches. I just did my wifes black Navigator. It looked bad, almost like a scotch-brite scrub pad was used on the car, it almost looked like it had a grey haze on it. I used Meguires Clear Coat Body Scrub on it. It was like a miracle. Very wet and deep looking shine. I then followed up with the Meguires Cleaner and Wax. Both the bottles were a burgundy color and were only about $10 each. You will get a lot of opinions about what kind of wax to use. The Meguires was very easy to put on and take off.
