I use a synthetic chamois to wipe off the car followed by a cotton terry towel. Make sure it's all cotton (avoid imported towels as the content labels are often inaccurate). Remove the edge stitching as the thread is often polyester and will scratch the paint.
I've been using the Griot car wash and it really has good cleaning and wetting power. It seems to make the car easier to dry off too. Really love the P21S for the alloy wheels.
