You'll also want to run your A/C at least once a month - hard to remember in the winter. This keeps the seals lubicated and will help prevent the freon from leaking out.

The 525i weighs about 3500 pounds and has only 153 cubic inches. You need to step up to the 3.5 liter six or the V8s for more performance. The 2.5 is oriented towards economical operation.
