I am in serious need of new tires. I was just wondering what brand and type of tires you all have used and which ones you think are best. I have a 1990 535i Manual with factory rims. I live in NC and do not get much snow. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know.

Thanks in advance,

Michelin MXV4 is a good all-around tire. I don't use our '95 525ia for any autocrosses or driver's schools, but do enjoy some spirited driving from time to time. We have Michelin RainForces on it now, and I hate them. I used to have some MXV4 Energy tires on my old Dodge Stratus, and they stuck like glue and lasted 50k on that car.

I'll likely put MXV4's on the 525 within the year.

I just purchased some Bridgstone 900 series tires from Tire Rack for my 95 525i. Use them on my 90 325i. Seem to work real well on the E30. Check out the Tire Rack web site. Michelins' MXV4 seem to be a little slippery in the rain when worn. Also live in NC, Tryon area, Tarheel CCA
