1. The on board computer display is out, you can barely see it at night, the buttons all light up but not the display.

There are 3 lights in the OBC that you can get from your dealer.....they are easy to install. Pull the radio out by loosening the 2 screws and find the lever on the back upper left hand side of the OBC. Pull the lever toward you and twist the bulbs out of their sockets....replace with new ones.....might as well do all 3 while you are in there

2. The transmission is leaking fluid near the front of transmission.

I'm not good with this! I'm sure Bill R., Bruno, or Neil can post a valid response as well as many others

3. The front seat needs some attention, looks like scratches in leather.

I used a leather conditioning product from Connoly's. It is a British product that my upholstery shop carries. It turned the somewhat stiff leather in my 1989 535i into a baseball glove! After that there is leatherique which can restore color to those scratches. Many have used it so far with positive results

4. Lastly there are these tiny scratches all over the clearcoat. The owner says no matter what he puts on the car, it looks good for a couple of days and then after rain or a wash they all come back.

Mine is the same way and I have plans to repaint the car in the coming years.....I'd rather spend money fixing the suspension, adding a chip, wheels, and maintaining the car.....eventually I'll spend the money to overhaul the body, but not until the money is less of an issue!
