Ok, this is a well known problem
This is probably the thrust arms bushings.
Go buy yourself a set of thrust arms with 750i or even stock bushings pressed into from (www.bmaautoparts.com) while you are at it, you can change the control arms, but you are not obliged to.

Then follow the directions on the www.bmwe34.net website.

And buy yourself a good tie rod puller.



ok,
1995 525i 99000 miles

I have a front end shimmy that was happining around 55 miles an hour, had the wheels balanced with that great machine at san francisco BMW, the shimmy moved to 60-65 miles an hour, and dissapears when I put the brakes on,
so I am comming to the conclusion that I need to rebuild the front end,
how about a rundown of doing this,
parts and what do I do??
