I think you should have them rererebalanced, just in case. If that fails, somebody mentioned that the upper control arm bushings might cause that sort of thing...

First off, Thanks to everyone who gave me advice about new brakes for my 5401. You all save me a lot of money.
Okay everyone, here is one that is stumping the BMW dealer and mechanics. I have a 95 540i with 63k miles on it. I bought it about 7 months ago with 55k miles. It had the original rims and tires on it and drove perfectly. I bought 17" OEM 5 spoke rims from a 97 or 98 540 and put on Dunlop SP5000 tires. The test drives were bad, the car had a shimmer. They rebalanced the tires and got the shimmer down a little. I finally took it to a BMW dealer and had it aligned and the tires rebalanced. Still had a problem... A few months later, they put it on something called Road Force which simulates the weight of the car on the tires and spins them and gives a computer read out. The dealer said the tires were out of round. (I don't have the highest faith in this dealer though) Anyway, I got new rear tires put on again... Same problem. The problem is this: 0-45 everything if okay, around 45-55mph I get a shimmy in the front end, I am convinced it is in the front right tire, the steering wheel wobbles a little. From 60- 70 it is okay. Around 75 on up the vibration feels like it is coming from the rear tires. Now the real killer, sometimes it is real bad, sometimes I hardly feel a thing.
This can be in the course of 10 miles. I had the car suspension checked and everything checked out oaky. The front tie rod has a little wear but they said it is no where near needing replacement. HELP!!!!
