It is almost certainly (from your speed) the thrust arm bushings. Replace them, but be sure to examine the ball joint at the other end of the arm. If the ball joint is worn, replace the entire arm, not just the bushing.

If you neglect this, the excess shake will wear out the other (more expensive) parts of your suspension.

I am brand new to BMW ownership and brand new to this board. I need some help, please! Two weeks after buying my 94 530i, it began to shake at speeds around 50-60mph. This happens randomly and only for about ten seconds at a time. The shaking is violent and the entire car feels like it is about to fall into pieces. Any ideas on what this might be? Thanks for your help.
