I'm finally joining the ranks of E34 owners - picking up my '95iT next week. Frequent need to transport bicycles. Has anyone installed a trailer hitch for a behind the car bike carrier. Any problems with the roof rack bars? Where can I get them? Are there any sources besides the dealer?

JDM - I also just got a "T" (540i 6 sp sport), and in looking for racks found that the racks intended for a Mercedes 124 coupe (made by Oris) will fit the 5 with a few mods. It ends up being a very "integrated" look - no overhangs on bar ends, and bike, etc accesories are available. Quality appears to be at least as good as Thule/Yakima and at moderate cost.
