Is there any way at all to tell if an inspection 2 was already done. I bought the car slightly above 60,000 miles, and neither I nor the dealer knows whether the inspection 2 was done, and of course there is no way to get ahold of the previous owner.

I just got quoted $625 for inspection 2 .. I don't know all of what is on the list, but the place that quoted me is also doing spark plugs, all filters (micro, air, fuel and oil), and a full point inspection on the car.

Got a quote for $487 including everything on offical list(microfilter, etc.). High?
Also need new AC belt($50), motor mounts, transmission mounts, air intake cap (plastic) and some gasket to stop oil leaking in through plugs (total $450). Previous owner installed aftermarket radiator which already leaks after a year. If not able to fix, I'll have to go with BMW radiator ($300).
Total almost $1300, but my extended warranty covers all engine problems ($450). Leaves a nice $850 charge. Guess it is worth it.
