but they indicate different problems in order to help in diagnosis. I believe 1221, "EGO sensor #1" indicates a problem with the signal from the O2 sensor. Could be a dead or failing sensor, or a bad electrical connection. I believe 1222, "Lambda Control #1", indicates that the oscillating signal is present, but the DME can't bring the O2 sensor signal into the range it is suppose to operate in, that is it's at or near the limit of it's mixture control, either full rich or full lean, and the signal is still wrong. This likely indicates a mechanical problem, ignition ( bad plugs), or fuel related (sticking/lazy fuel injector etc). I may have this reversed, but the DME is certainly smart enough to know the difference between these two types of errors.

I thought the Lambda Control was the O2 sensor?
