In the six months I've had this setup - no rubbing.

Hope this helps.

I'd stick with 235's all around -- especially with a 525i. 255's will induce understeer. With 189hp, the 525 does not require the extra rear tire width that a 540 might need to keep the rear wheels from spinning. With 235s all around, you can rotate your tires to increase their life.

On the other hand, fat tires _look_ good.

For 18" wheels, you should go with 235/40/18 tires.

Car is a 1995 525i. Would a 17 X 9 wheel with a 255/40/17 on the rear be overkill? Should I stick with 235/45/17 all around? What's the biggest I can go for 17" and 18".
