The 540 w/ bigger front brakes takes longer to stop? I am not sure of the exact specs. so I cannot speak directly to them. I understand that the V8 adds extra weight but I can't believe it is significant enough to overcome the bigger brakes.

Stop light Street racing can be no judge of a cars ability. Drivers have different commitment levels and skill levels. Because you roll on some old fart on the freeway and floor it 10 sec. before he does and then pull on him does not prove a car is faster or slower.

You are right about our cars as track cars. I have recently thought about getting a 325is or beater project car to make a track car out of and stop putting money into the E34 (just need to sell the wife on the idea). I love my E34 but I cannot see it as a feasible track car so how far do you take it in order to get back and forth from work?

Anyway, I think this person posted this to start some in fighting on the board and it worked.

Cheers,

Roger Neef
