E34 as Track Car. (archive)

I have recently seen many posts discouraging the e34 platform as a good track car. Although I very much agree with this statement, I also feel that sometimes we limit the e34 as a race car. I mean look at RedFive, we could tell him he should have gotten a e30 M3, but he didnt.
I still feel that the e34 is not a great base car for racing, street, or track, But if you have one already then you might as well use it cause the platform bye no means is BAD.

Ohh im also going to go out on a limb here with some future plans.
1/4 mile time withing the next year for my car is going to be mid 13's
0-60 is going to be in the 5's
and the handling is going to be drivable and trackable.
Ok maybe it will be a bit harsh for the road, but hey im young, harsh is ok for now.
