help!! I have a 92' 525it. M50 non-vanos. Have had a high-velocity intake and K&N style filter installed for well over a year, have had Turner Motorsports install a Conforti chip three months ago. Stock exhaust and new top end of motor 18 months ago.

here's the problem, once in a while, (especially lately) when accellerating from a dead stop or a slow roll the car will start to move and then bog for a second at 1800 rpm with a total loss of power and the check engine light will flash for a second, then suddenly accellerate like a bat out of hell. this started the day i had the chip installed and has been getting worse the last few weeks. Turner swapped the chip two months ago for a new one and the problem had not improved or did not get worse until the last few weeks.

Turner ran the codes, "crank sensor fault" I was told. So replaced it with a new one, problem persists and is starting to get undrivable in the city. the car is fine above 2000rpm and at speeds above 15mph.
