Radio/Changer Question: please read-just installed (archive)

a radio from a 2001 3 series (BMW Business). No problems there. I used all of the old connections from the original bmw radio to make the fit with no problems whatsoever.

Now I want to add a changer and I still have the 14 pin connector in the trunk which is hooked up to the new radio. Can this connection be used or do I need a new connection from the radio? Also, can I use it with an adaptor? The whole idea with installing the new radio is that i want to use the newer changers.
