I am running the MTL in the 5 speed in our 535i. Is there something I should know? The MTL was recommended to me and it states on the bottle that it is suitable for transmissions requiring ATF. The gearbox shifts 'cold' as easily as it used to when 'hot'and is very smooth when warmed up.

Redline says use the D4 ATF for my manual GB, is this right?
They also recomend 7590 for the differential. The only reason I ask is that the women I talked with seemed a little unsure.

Yep, D4ATF for the tranny. Not MTL. 75-90 in the rear is correct also.
