O2 sensor replacement without dropping exhaust? (archive)

Howdy,

I already checked the archives and could not find any information on actual replacement tips of an O2 sensor for a 91 535i. Currently I have the sensor off and ready to replace, however I cannot get a wrench on the nut that holds the sensor into the exhast.. with it still on the car. Is there anyway to do this without dropping he exhaust? Also, I just have reg. box wrench's... will it work with different tools? Any suggestions?
If I have to drop the exhaust, any tips or tricks to getting it down and back on by yourself?
