I have a 1990 535ia that I recently purchased.
Very well taken care of car with 165,000 on the meter.

The care has a vibration during low speed acceleratio.I usually fell it from a dead stop to about 20-30 mph then it smooths out.
Does anyone have any idea's what I can check for?

Thanks

Hi Ron,

I can practically guarantee that your U-Joints are seized. Happened to me at about the 140,000 mile mark. BMW would love for you to buy a new driveshaft assembly from them, to the tune of about $1000, but there is a better way. Unfortunately, BMW decided to use non-replaceable U-Joints. There are a few places around that sell BMW driveshafts with replaceable U-Joints. I took mine to a machine shop here in the Dallas area that specializes in that type of thing, and am now vibration free.

Good Luck
